Objectives of the Course
Design and Duration

The total duration of the course for Cycle IV is six months (August 2019 - January 2020), with once a month contact session, which will be conducted on designated weekend at Regional Centers, across India.

Minimum Eligibility & Course Administration

MD/DNB (Medicine or Internal Medicine or Family Medicine)
Medical graduate (MBBS) with minimum 3 years of clinical experience

Course Contents

ACMDC is a comprehensive course comprising of Modules, case studies, interactive videos and group exercises. All the participants would be evaluated on a basis of test both prior and after the module.The modules would cover all practical aspects, use of insulin and newer medications including lipid mannagement, vascular examination, advanced cardiac testing that promise cardio-metabolic risk reduction and case-based approaches to screen and evaluate diabetic vascular disease, especially diabetic nephropathy, retinopathy and peripheral arterial disease.

The course will cover several challenging areas to the clinicians, for example, some of the areas covered would be, how to reduce residual CAD risk despite optimal statin treatment, how to manage diabetes in hospitalized people with heart disease, evaluation and management of people with heart failure and diabetes, and management of other cardiovascular co-morbidities.

A special focus would be given on role of diet and exercise in the management of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases (Instructive and illustrative videos will be provided as a part of curriculum).

Who can apply?
The course is open to: Medical graduate (MBBS) with Post-graduate degree or Medical graduate (MBBS) with at least 3 years of experience as primary care physician/clinical experience or Medical graduate (MBBS) as per recommendation of Regional Faculty.

How to apply?
Course Fee for Cycle IV is 12,000/-
